Manager, Vendor Management

Responsibilities:Design and implement new processes and procedures to ensure proper vendor management. Design and implement control reports that accurately measure vendor performance. Design and implement procedures to ensure the business units utilize the control reports and take timely action to correct any issues. Create reporting for senior management. Assist with the vendor selection process and ensure proper SLAs are included in new contracts. This position is not responsible for vendor identification or selection. Coordinate with other departments for process completion and issue resolution. Participate in special projects as required. Effective use of technology and reporting tools to produce decision useful information. Co-ordinate activities with related functions in other departments.

Key Result Areas: Successfully implement new vendor management procedures for Level II Vendors by 6/30/08 and Level III Vendors by 12/31/08 Design and Implementation of effective control reports for each vendor Improve quality of service received from vendors as measured by a reduction in errors Improve efficiencies and reduce costs by 5%

Requirements: Undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus. Proven track record of process/procedure implementation. Highly motivated, detail oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Proven multi-tasking ability. Very strong technical and spreadsheet skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
