As the Manager of Investment Operations and Administration you will have an in depth understanding of performance concepts and be able to calculate performance immediately, while managing the relationship between the Company and chosen custodian. Leverage your experience working within a bank, custodian firm or even a trading desk to effectively manage service levels within the Company to meet operational requirements of our investment and portfolio accounting function. You will be provided with exposure to a very diverse and interesting asset base and have the opportunity to learn the industry and gain valuable experience to further your career within the investment industry.
Managing a family portfolio with multi-billion dollar assets company in downtown Palo Alto, California, our client is an investment and wealth management firm with a focus in long term capital growth and wealth preservation. Investment management functions include asset allocation, investment selection and performance monitoring. The accounting management functions include financial, personal, property, partnership and trust accounting, administration of tax support and philanthropy support. The Manager of Investment Operations and Administration will be charged with developing our existing and prospective relationships with portfolio administration providers and effectively managing the relationships betwwen all interested functions, including the Custodian Bank, fund administrator and brokerage firms. Combining your Bachelors Degree with your recent finance or investment background you will have an excellent understanding of performance concepts and be able to immediately calculate performance in relation to investments. Your excellent organizational ability combined with your attention to detail and experience in system integration of investment accounting/operations/analytic systems will enable you to build and manage simple internal databases that will enable you to accurately integrate data from several sources and produce timely information to our team while minimizing the total cost of delivery. You will also take responsibility for the management of ongoing investment reporting and analytic needs through development and maintenance of investment databases, preparation of regular and ad hoc reports, consolidation of data from various sources, and other related projects. Your outstanding communication skills will also be put to good use as you effectively manage third party relationships with external consultants and programmers to ensure that deadlines are met.
