Job Description:
This is a unique opportunity to make significant contributions in a dynamic organization. In collaboration with the senior management team, the Marketing Communications Director will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of all marketing communications and public relations activities, both external and internal, including: website, sales tools, graphic design, and branding.
The position requires the ability to take raw content from managers and other sources, and edit that content to drive key messages through the appropriate communications vehicle. This individual will serve a key role that requires interfacing with all levels in the organization, as well as hands-on project management. Specifically, the Marketing Communications Director will provide:
Sales support:
Assisting the sales team in developing and implementing a higher profile presence at trade shows;
Creating and/or editing high-quality written materials including brochures, customer collateral, website copy, and sales communications tools;
Leading market research and business intelligence efforts; and
Working with the sales management team to develop and flawlessly implement strategic marketing communications plans and campaigns that reinforce the company’s presence in the industry.
Project management/Vendor management:
Successfully negotiating with outside vendors to obtain the highest quality and best price for services while maintaining long-lasting and productive vendor relationships;
Editing and proofreading all marketing-related materials;
Maintaining visual branding guidelines and high design standards, coordinating the appearance of all print and electronic materials such as website, use of logo, brochures, etc. ; and
Responsibility for design, production and distribution of all publications including the annual report.
Public Relations:
Building on the positive branding of First American through well-messaged communications and visual presence;
Serving as a focal point for internal and external company communications; and
Acting as the company’s representative with the media, developing pressing releases and coordinating media interest, ensuring regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
Requirements:
An advanced degree in a related field.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a professional presence.
High level of energy – an enthusiastic team player with a dedication to excellence and a desire to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple, high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects with a high level of quality in all deliverables.
Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media. Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
