Summary:
PropelGrowth is an exciting new venture that provides sales execution consulting with an emphasis on making individual sales people and account managers more effective. Unlike generic sales training companies, we work exclusively with the capital markets and all of our trainers, coaches, and consultants have extensive experience selling in and to the capital markets industry, enabling PropelGrowth to provide highly targeted materials, relevant stories, and ideas or advice that are germane to the environment and market your team sells in every day. In some cases, we even know the people, personalities, and buying processes of the companies our clients are targeting.
PropelGrowth is seeking a Marketing Specialist to handle marketing, lead generation, and event coordination. This person will be responsible for all marketing activities from public relations to marketing communications. This role will have a key responsibility for generating qualified sales leads, and the position will be measured primarily based on effectiveness in this area. PropelGrowth has a proven lead generation model that the Marketing Specialist will use and refine.
As a small and aggressive startup, PropelGrowth takes guerilla marketing very seriously. We will be targeting activities with the specific goals of generating leads and enhancing the company’s credibility within our specific target market. In addition to direct marketing activities for lead generation, this position will be responsible for finding and coordinating speaking opportunities and article placements that effectively position PropelGrowth in our target market.

Principle Responsibilities:
§ Marketing, communications and public relations
§ Direct marketing and lead generation
§ Selection of lead lists and list cleansing
§ Developing and running lead generation campaigns
§ Designing and executing PR plan
§ Preparing press releases and pitching media
§ Finding key speaking engagements
§ Assisting with development and publication of article series
§ Updating and maintaining website
§ Tracking key lead generation and sales metrics
§ Maintaining CRM system and generating reports
§ Develop marketing communication literature
§ Develop and grow the PropelGrowth brand
§ Assist with coordination of training events
§ Planning and coordinating webinars and other awareness-building activities
§ Planning and budgeting for all marketing activities
§ Develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures to ensure smooth operation of marketing function
Qualifications
§ Prefer bachelors degree or higher in marketing, public relations, or journalism
§ Prefer knowledge and experience in designing and executing guerilla marketing programs for start-ups with small marketing budget.
§ 2-4 years experience in marketing technology or financial companies.
§ 2 years background serving the capital markets industry.
§ Prefer experience in media relations. (helpful, but not required)
§ Ability to work in an unstructured environment. Position will be home-based.
§ Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
§ Self directed with strong time management skills.
§ Strong oral and written communication skills.
§ Exposure to the design and production of print and electronic materials.
§ Exposure to managing websites and SEO.
§ Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
§ Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe InDesign are helpful but not required.
§ Well-organized with strong project management skills.
§ Comfortable in rapidly changing, multi-tasking environment.
§ High degree of confidence and tenacity.
§ Comfortable working phones to contact media and sales prospects.
§ Strong business acumen.
§ High energy, “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
