Marketing Database Analyst 3

Job Description: This position is responsible for developing campaign lists for direct marketing programs which support Home Equity line and loan products. Direct marketing is an important component for retaining and growing our current customer for these lending products. This position works closely with the direct mail Program Managers, our statistical Modelers, and the Print Production team to develop and translate list criteria into mailable lists which help us achieve our revenue and profit goals. The position reports into the Database Marketing group, which is responsible for the end-to-end execution of over 50 Home Equity and Personal Credit direct mail programs annually. Other functions in the group include List Strategies, List Audit, and Print Production. Each campaign is managed by a cross-functional “core team” which includes a lead Program Manager, a Modeler, our creative Agency, a Print Production Manager, and the List Developer/Coder. The List Developer will also work closely with his or her colleagues within the List Development team to ensure a consistent methodology is used to create the campaign output and audits and that process efficiencies are continually identified and implemented.The focus of this position will be on Home Equity customer acquisition, which is supported by 50+ credit and ITA campaigns annually that are larger in size with a great deal of variety, and target for current customer cross sell. Specific tasks that are required in the development of the lists for these campaigns include: understanding overall business strategy and campaign-specific marketing objectives, researching data requests, coding, auditing and producing campaign lists, maintaining promotion history, and documenting coding requirements. In addition, the List Developer is responsible for ensuring that all legal, compliance and credit criteria parameters are incorporated into the design of the campaigns. Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum of 6 years of experience in direct marketing is required – this experience can include database marketing, list strategies, direct mail analytics, direct mail modeling, direct mail campaign management, or other relevant experience along with list coding experience- Strong competence in SQL coding required - Ability to work on multiple projects within a multi-team environment, including strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize own workload to meet delivery dates- Self starter with a “can-do” attitude, detail-oriented with a high sense of accountability and integrity. - Strong team player with clear verbal and written communication skills- 4 year college degree Preferred Skills: - Experience with Financial Services lending products, such as home equity, mortgage or credit cards; working knowledge of Wells Fargo lending products a strong plus- Working experience with the Wells Fargo Hemisphere database- SAS coding a plus- Experience with campaign management tools - Masters degree preferred.
