Marketing Project Manager - Institutional Markets

This marketing position will be responsible for developing project plans for key initiatives with the Institutional Team, as they focus on growing our presence in the Bank, Wire House, and Independent Broker-Dealer channels. This role reports to the Senior Marketing Director and will coordinate closely with the Product and Concept Marketing Manager(s) and Marketing Services team members. Primary responsibilities will be to gather the marketing and promotional opportunities for each developing channel segment (including Transamerica Financial Advisors – TFA), and support our sales and field development teams in rollouts. Coordinating the development of marketing/promotional materials will include, but not be limited to:
· Reviewing current markets / needs served / suggest promotional ideas for campaigns
· Align concepts with product rollout marketing materials/campaigns
· Develop promotional plan for Products and Concepts in each relevant segment
· Participate on team to evolve web presence and tool efficiency
Specific Responsibilities:
Support current product rollouts, updates, and communications, for this channel
· Consider markets, distribution, product and concept to ensure a fit
· Work with creative teams to guide items’ development
· Edit/proofread items to continue development of items to completion
· Report to Marketing Director team on project status and/or areas of concern
Work in tandem with other Marketing/Project Managers to schedule product rollouts & communications (leverage what’s working in Agency channel and amend for Institutions)
Coordinate with Institutional Sales Desks and Field teams to support their sales and promotional efforts and opportunities
Contribute to promotional plan for Institutional Markets to support each segment with:
· Core Marketing Materials in support of product rollouts
· Evolve web-presence (for marketing and agent education)
· Core meetings (industry conferences and regional and key accounts meetings)
· Value-Added materials from our Field Education and Advanced Marketing Teams
Required Qualifications:
§ College degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
§ 4+ years of Marketing project experience including:
Ø Coordination of marketing programs
Ø Ability to develop and produce marketing materials
§ Experience in Financial Services/Insurance is a plus
§ Detail-oriented with strong project and people management skills
§ Ability to multi-task and work with various departments
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Field Experience with financial professionals a must (selling, wholesaling, etc.)
§ Excellent computer skills – Must be proficient in the MS platform of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, MSProject)
§ Strong team player
§ Ability to work flexible hours
§ Ability to travel (on occasion)
