Summary: Our client provides administration, accounting, investor and corporate services to investment entities operated by their Prime Brokerage clients. The Middle Office service is a new offering which compliments the traditional month end services and provides for daily reconciliation, accounting, reporting, verification, and various other operational services to hedge fund clients. The Middle Office Client Service Representative (MO Rep) will be the primary, daily relationship contact for the client and will be responsible for the maintenance of the client’s full accounting records and daily accounting, profit and loss, and performance reporting. The MO Rep will also work closely in conjunction with the client when dealing with the fund’s prime brokers and other counterparties.Principal Responsibilities: - Perform end of day report checkout to ensure flash, end of day PnL numbers are reasonable - Confirm that all of the client’s trades have been received/processed through the trade capture system - Ensure that the accounting records reflect daily pricing and corporate action information - Reconcile positions and cash between the accounting system and all custodians on a daily basis - Work with client and client‘s custodial counterparties on unmatched trades and ensure that trades are corrected appropriately - Liaise with clients on all trade and non–trade related reporting questions and ensure they are properly reflected in the accounting system - Relationship management including regular client visits - Understand client reporting needs and match with appropriate reports and technology - Train clients on new technology and reporting - Assist in the creation / development / testing of the accounting reports and client website - Ad hoc projects to enhance internal processes and efficiencies Experience/Skills: 4 year college degree. 2-5 years accounting or operations experience preferred. Strong client service disposition. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
