Job Description: The Strategic Data Analytics manager will lead a team responsible for driving customer and marketing analysis to create business insights and actions. The Analytics manager will work closely with and provide analytical support to help inform strategies and growth plans for the overall Home Equity business, Customer Acquisition, and Customer Management.Responsibilities will include:• Supervising a team of 3 other analysts and managing the prioritization and work flow of the analytics group while directly conducting some projects themselves• Contributing to customer profitability profiling, customer acquisition and customer retention analyses• Working closely with the strategy, marketing and sales teams to identify actionable customer segments/business opportunities, and then size and prioritize these segments/opportunities.• Working closely with the Marketing Research team on key initiatives such as attrition, approved but not funded (ANF) studies• Leading longer cycle time efforts than other analysis functions because of the focus on answering 'larger' strategic questions with longer-term implications• Collaborating with business partners in the development of opportunity assessment and sizing• Conducting ad-hoc analyses that provide greater insights of our customers and broader business issues and ensuring the team's scheduled monthly reporting is completed accurately and on-time• Supporting product strategy and planning• Effectively communicating insights and recommended actionsResponsible for managing the Strategic Data Analytics group within the Home Equity business. Projects range from determining customer target groups, data mining, some basic modeling and statistical analysis. The Strategic Data Analytics Manager will need to evaluate and recommend strategies for developing and utilizing information to support marketing initiatives that drive business results. This requires a full understanding of business objectives and underlying drivers, as well as regulatory/privacy compliance and information security. Responsibilities include working with internal clients to define information needs translating them into specific data requirements, determining the required capabilities/tools/data, and managing/conducting the analytical work. Managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects across the team. Maintaining necessary processes, controls and procedures to insure data accuracy and business functionality and comply with privacy and security policies. Manages a small team of technical consultants and analysts.
