.NET Web Developer (Internet and Intranet)

SIG's Corporate Applications Technology team provides corporate business teams (Accounting, HR, Legal, Marketing, etc.) with business analysis, program management, application development, implementation and 3rd level support services. As a result of new initiatives, we have a need for an experienced Web developer who has done both Internet and Intranet development in a .Net environment. The developer must be a self-starter with deep knowledge in Web related technologies and the ability to research and stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly changing domain. Essential Functions Work within the Sitecore CMS to maintain and enhance content and templates Where appropriate extend core CMS functionality to better meet workflow requirements Create wireframes to validate design decisions and collaborate with the business users Create and maintain custom Web components in C# in Visual Studio .Net Develop applications and middleware components outside the CMS to support data-handling and user administration Perform analysis to translate business requirements into functional and technical tasks and specifications Integrate various applications and enviroments with the Intranet, such as SharePoint 2007, TWiki, Adobe Flash Media Server/Client, etcFully grasp current Web best practices and actively research to identify new practices and technologies Understand usability and user experience and enforce those requirements as part of all development work Required/Preferred Qualifications A minimum of three(3) years of Web development experience is requiredMust have a thorough understanding of best practices for Web and Intranet development in both design and performanceWeb development skills using .Net framework, particularly ASP.Net Stong HTML / XHTML, with understanding of cross browser issues requiredExpertise with the Visual Studio .Net IDE requiredBasic relational database design and data modeling preferredSQL Server 2000 and 2005, T-SQL programming preferredExperience with JavaScript required AJAX experience preferredExperiencXML and related technologies (XSL/T, XPATH, XSD, DTD, etc.) is reqiredExperience with CSS and Flash strongly preferredExperience working with a CMS requires, experience with the Sitecore CMS is preferred * Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
