National Sales Director - Divisional Sales Manager

The Divisional Sales Manager will report directly to the National Sales Director within the Business Development Group. The Divisional Sales Manager (East/West) is responsible for driving major firm initiatives across all business lines and effectively utilizing expert Advisory Consultants located out in the field driving fee based assets and revenue. These firm initiatives will be made up primarily of Fee Based Products and Envision (Investment Planning). The primary focus for the Divisional and their staff will be raising fee based assets and revenue by utilizing the consulting process. The Divisional is responsible for coordinating, guiding and supporting a team of Advisory Consultants that will travel extensively throughout their territory. The Divisional is also expected to travel extensively. This position will require a high degree of partnership and collaboration with many other areas of the firm in order to achieve success. The Divisional will develop and implement an annual business plan based upon projected sales goals and budgets, maximize opportunities for success through customizing activities to meet the needs of each region, partner with FA and Business Resource Desk Associate to resolve issues and questions that arise as a result of doing business, participate in Group meetings and Conference Calls, quarterback productivity activities at the regional level and manage travel and expenses effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:7-10 years of financial services experience in the role of promoting sales opportunities to Financial Advisors, Branch Managers and clients. The Divisional should also have a proven track record of providing leadership to a broad group of associates. Sales Management in the past is preferred. Ability to travel extensively.Exceptional skills in the areas of coaching, training, motivating and developing associates are a critical component of this job. Superior interpersonal, management and platform skills are required. A broad-based working knowledge of financial services and sales management experience are also required. Registrations 7, 63, 65 or 66 or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire, A familiarity with the separate account business and the consultative fee based process is highly preferred. It is preferred that the candidate have experience in effectively running a large external sales force. Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm
