New Accounts Representative

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for following the new account process for establishing and inputting information relevant to account set up and migration of business.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for ensuring all required information is entered to the clearing firm system and appropriate documentation is completed correctly.

· Work with both clearing firm and direct business accounts.

· Index and Committing of faxed documents to repository.

· Review all new account information for completeness, accuracy, and approval signatures with dates to comply with FINRA and SEC regulations.

· Responsible for ensuring firm compliance with Books and Records with regard to Account Establishment.

· Work along with new recruits to establish best way to migrate all existing business they may have.

· Assist in opening Direct and Brokerage New Accounts.

· Follow up on transfer activity to ensure the process is expedited as quickly as possible.

· Notification out to the field on status of all activity executed through the New Accounts Dept.

· Other projects and duties as assigned.

· Knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations related to the securities industry

· Highly resourceful with the ability to look beyond the obvious

· Excellent relationship and collaborative skills

MAJOR QUALIFICATIONS

· College degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred

· 1+ year of experience working in a financial setting

· Series 6 license preferred

· Series 26 license a plus
