Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.The New Agency Specialist (NAS) is responsible for the delivery and implementation of basic new agency office processes relative to technology utilization and other on-boarding/agency development needs for new Exclusive Agent (EA) appointments and outside buyers, during the initial months of their relationship with Allstate. Development Educates and develops new agencies and agency staff. Develops agents and agencies staff over a defined time period in-agency to ensure a consistent experience for all. Identifies basic to intermediate development opportunities for new agents. Delivers the necessary education. Builds and maintains best practices for the successful development of new agencies. Leverages opportunities to apply knowledge learned on the job and to share such knowledge/best practices among Field Distribution Leaders (FDLs) and regional staff. Assesses development opportunities of producers and communicates such information to appropriate distribution leadership.Consulting Identifies opportunities for achieving increased sales growth. As requested, utilizes appropriate business tools to assist with business development especially around agency staff on boarding. Reviews and provides guidance, as requested, on implementing agency business plans. Assists new agencies, as requested, in developing office organizational effectiveness. Assist agencies, as requested, with the implementation of consistent repeatable processes for new business generation and renewal retention. Participates directly, as requested, in sales activities, such as sales calls, prospecting, etc.Relationship Management Serves a primary contact for all new agents for a specified initial period of time. Coordinates and informs new agencies of education classes, workshops and seminars, as appropriate, and as identified by consulting with agencies. Coordinates utilization of resources of appropriate support departments. Assists agents with STAR Bonus achievement. Maintains on-going lines of communication with new agencies. Communicates company business objectives and agency results. Builds and maintains a collaborative working relationship across all three distribution functional areas (Distribution Support Department, Distribution Leadership and Agency Consulting Services). Proactively shares information to ensure a common vision and partnership in support of agency growth.Compliance Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and standards by agencies during a specified initial period of time. Monitors and provides feedback on agency results (Agency Status Review (ASR) administration). Responsible for the accurate completion of the agent development documentation for each new agent. Monitors agent compliance with Agency Standards and R3001 Agreement. Confirms compliance regarding the safeguarding of customer information. Administration Performs administrative functions and utilizes technology to achieve maximum effectiveness. Captures and compiles all information pertaining to agency visits via the prescribed management tool. Maintains accurate and timely records. Performs all administrative duties as required.Preferred Education and ExperienceExperience and Knowledge 2-4 years sales management or agency support experience in P&C and Financial Services Prior distribution leadership, recruiting, agency establishment and agency development experience 4 year college degree Analytical and Technical Skills Knowledge of agent contracts, compliance requirements, Allstate policies and procedures Ability to assess market conditions, trends and indicators Experience using Allstate technology and Microsoft Office products P&C and FS product knowledge Familiarity with P&C and FS industry, including competitors and trends Process development and implementation skills Proficiency with business consulting tools Knowledge of candidate prospecting techniques, candidate development, deployment models, process installation, education techniques and other sales processes In-depth knowledge of the Allstate business model Ability to articulate, assemble and deliver informationNon-technical Skills Strong communication skills - Includes presentation, business writing, negotiation, motivation and relationship management. Problem solving — Uses judgment by applying broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
