Non-equities Trade Support

The Non-Equities Application support team is responsible for the support, maintenance, and analysis of trading desk applications. In this Application Support role, you would be part of a team supporting trading desks that are located across sites spanning Chicago, New York, Bala Cynwyd, and Atlanta. As part of a time sensitive and challenging environment, you will handle everything from day-to-day trading support issues to analysis of existing trading tools and applications. As a member of this team, you will utilize your analytical skills to find solutions to enable us to provide better performance. The main objective for the Non-Equities Application Support team is to be a proactive member of the trading desk, working hand-in-hand with the traders in providing solutions, rather than being a reactive support desk when issues arise. Essential Functions Managing the real-time status and functionality of the various trading systems in our environment Identifying, investigating, and resolving user and system problems in a timely and efficient manner with minimal impact on trading activityObtaining a good understanding of the trading functions within the various areas on the trading desks and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the traders. This includes seeking ways to improve on their trading functions; whether it be through demoing 3rd party software that might provide the solutions, or working with the developers to enhance an existing in-house applicationWorking hand-in-hand with the developers to act as liaisons with the trading desk and to participate and assist in testing and support of in-house applications Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in an information technology support, administrative or development roleProven experience with Windows XP as well as the MS Office Suite, including ExcelExcellent communication and organizational skills with a customer-service attitudeProven ability to troubleshoot systems and applications in a timely mannerExperience handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment as an individual contributer or team memberAbility to work flexible hours and possibly travel occasionally to our regional offices in Chicago and NYKnowledge of financial markets, products and/or market data is preferred* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
