Responsibilities:
Interact, engage, stimulate and take the lead with our online community via blogging, private messaging, blog comments and discussion boards etc.Use already established social media connections to the blogosphere to recruit and foster other bloggers for relevant content as needed.Mange a team of bloggers across a varied work matrix (in-house, on-call, tele-commute etc).Define guidelines, recommendations, best practices and procedures related to the community.Be the face of the community across the social graph and help manage the social relationship of the community on the web.Serve as a point of contact and help solve any customer service issues within the community. Increase community membership, awareness and participation to create a thriving online community.Use already established social media connections to promote the community.Identify and recruit influencers, evangelists and trends within the community and conduct evangelization efforts online and offlineEstablish metrics and provide tracking to communicate and validate community interactionAssist in social media marketing campaigns.
Requirements:3+ years online community management 3+ years of verifiable community contributions (blogging, discussion posts, etc.).Should be well versed and have hands on experience with social media sites and networks (Facebook, MySpace, dig, reddit, Newsvine, technorati, Friendfeed etc.Know what twitter is and ‘get it’.Referenceable experience managing in-house writers and coordinating external bloggers/contributors.Excellent writing skills.Established extensive or rich blogosphere and general professional social network connections Creative, outgoing, friendly team player and builderHave a BA/BS degree
