Position Description:

Participates in the design, creation, and maintenance of databases in a client/server environment. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Consults with and advises users in access to databases. Administers security procedures. Establishes policies and procedures pertaining to database management, security, maintenance and utilization. Sets and monitors standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools. Duties may include troubleshooting, recovery, refining the database, performance tuning, installing and upgrading software, resolving errors, and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.3-5 years Oracle Database Administration.2 years Unix System AdministrationScripting knowledge requiredGood oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills.
