Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator / C-1625

We are currently searching for an Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator to add to our dynamic Information Technology team! Key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:Responsible taking an active role in the analysis and design of new database systems. Hence, knowledge of data flow diagrams, data dictionary techniques, CASE tools, Entity-relation modeling and design techniques, enhance the Oracle professional's scope of ability. Database Design skills - Many Oracle jobs require knowledge of database normalization theory, STAR schema design, Enterprise datawarehousing & data modeling techniques. Physical Disk Storage skills - Understanding of disk hardware architecture, RAID implementation, cache controllers, and disk load balancing are beneficial to any Oracle professional. Data Security skills - An understanding of relational database security including role-based security is useful. Backup and Recovery skills - Many backup and recovery methods involve oracle and third party-tools (RMAN/TSM) candidate should have real-world experience implementing backup and recovery methods. Change Control Management skills- Task of implementing change control and insuring that changes to the production database are properly coordinated. Database Administration skills- Tasks include creating,upgrading, migrating Oracle 10g on Solaris/AIX, monitor database and tune databases, knowledge of oracle 10g Grid and Unix Operating system is a must.SQL Server skills: Minimum 4 years SQL Server experience and 1 year SQL 2005 experience. Strong Transact-SQL skills. Ability to convert DTS packages into SSIS packages. Must be familiar with linked servers. Strong analysis and documentation skills. Understanding of standard production database management. Performance monitoring and tuning of databases and Transact-SQL code. Strong troubleshooting skills. Familiar with SQL Server clustered environment. Experience migrating SQL 7 / 2000 applications and databases to SQL 2005 is a plus. Team player. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
