PART-TIME WEB SPECIALIST

The Part-time Web Specialist is an entry level, temporary position whose major purpose is to perform a variety of Web site responsibilities as part of the Communications subprocess of Texas Guaranteed (TG) that enhance, maintain, and support TG’s Web presence.  The primary responsibilities of this position include preparing and deploying content for TG’s Web sites and electronic newsletters for both internal and external audiences.  This individual will assist TG Webmasters.  It is a 20 hour work week with flexibility in hours for college students or individuals seeking part-time employment. 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Completed coursework in Web site maintenance, computers, or technology preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

A minimum of six months experience in Web content and design, Web communications or Web site maintenance required. Must possess strong and efficient HTML coding and editing skills. Knowledge, skills, and familiarity with the internet and general understanding of Web-related tools or applications needed. Understanding of Windows environment and applications. Writing, editing, and proofing skills, organizational skills and sound judgment important.
