Peoplesoft Project Lead

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Effectively coordinates and leads designated resources for a technology project or ongoing support basis to develop, implement and/or maintain a business unit segment.
* Plans, organizes and complete tasks in the shortest, most effective manner.
* Provides estimation for tasks planned.
* Works with the business partners to establish business needs.
* Communicates with development team, customers and vendors when changes occur.
* Acts as a mentor to junior staff members.
* Helps management to determine overall priorities.
* Project Management: Activities in support of the completion of approved business initiatives.
* Activities include review & update of project deliverables, assignment of resources, status reporting, issue tracking, maintenance of project plans, coordination with other groups.
* Function Management: HR and departmental administrative tasks.
Activities include employee performance reviews, time tracking, training and educational development for employees, budget tracking, salary administration, employee hiring and terminations, expense management
* Strategic Planning: Activities resulting in the definition of longer term technical direction. These activities include the recommendation of software and hardware, planning and allocation of resources, creation of budgets, vendor selection and contract reviews, coordination with business units, establish departmental goals in support of business objectives, establishing timelines and plans for technology migrations.
* Production support and maintenance - Tasks including programming, debugging and testing of existing applications that run in a production environment for purposes of remediation system errors or to extend application life span.

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

* Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of investment applications and all phases of system development life cycle.
* Uses solid business knowledge to develop rapid proactive solutions for significant business issues.
* Demonstrates proficiency in systems analysis of business requirements, has advanced written and oral skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to the business units, to make presentations to management and other personnel, and to conduct meetings and training sessions.
* Experience with People Soft HRMS, Financials, Portal version 8.8 or higher.
* Superior knowledge of PeopleSoft App Designer, PeopleCode, App Engine, Integration Broker, SQR.
* Superior Knowledge of relational database environment, Sybase preferred.
* Knowledge of UNIX environment, AIX preferred.
* Knowledge of Client-server concepts, (3 tier architecture concepts preferred), and GUI development concepts required.
Experience with Microsoft Windows, HTML, word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
* Prior experience in vendor relationship management a plus.
5-7 years experience in technology capacity with project management required
* College degree in Information Systems or related discipline highly desired
* Experience with People Soft App Designer, PeopleCOde, App Engine, Integration Broker, SQR.
