Job Title Plan Administrator

 

Scope

The Newport Group has an excellent opportunity for a Plan Administrator in our LaCrosse Office. This position will be responsible for proactively managing and developing profitable, long-term customer relationships and achieve customer retention. To provide retirement plan services and guidance by being responsive to the clients needs and provide day to day customer support.

 

Essential FunctionsCoordinates receipt and accuracy of participant data from clients, verifies plan provisions and government regulations for processing allocations.Assists in the verification and approval of all distributions and loans prior to be processed.Approves and works with clients to correct and payroll fund items.  Verifies and approves all quarterly participant statements and client reports prior to mailing.  Provides client support and customer service on day-to-day issues with clients.  Acts in a pro-active manner with assigned clients and builds relationships to ensure retention.  Works with supporting departments ( Billing, Compliance, Operations) to resolve issues or gather required data.Perform other duties or special projects as assigned that are related to the essential operation of the business unit. Works with Plan Sponsors, Brokers, Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Companies and other Third Party Vendors.

 

Experience:4 year college degree with an interest in accounting, finance, general business or mathematicsIndustry designation preferredPrior experience in the financial services industry desiredStrong Interpersonal skills, attention to details, good organizational skillsProject managementProblem solving and analytical skills
