Portal Development Guru

Contract position available for a Portal Development Lead with a strong BEA Aqualogic background.Responsibilities : *Architect comprehensive solutions of a scalable high performance portal for internal and external customers. *Act as a technical adviser, consultant and mentor for both management and new development staff. *Lead development team consisting of on and off shore resources. *Review and provide input into functional and non-functional requirements. *Work closely with the requirements team to design and implement portal solutions. *Coordinate the technical design to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards and guidelines. Tasks: Possibly design Metrics (OOB and customized) Possibly design Search capabilities Design Portlets Design Customization/My Links Design Customization/Cross Selling Design other Customization Possibly develop prototype/proof of conceptSkillset: Strong BEA Aqualogic (ALIU ) Portal skills required– Expert ability to Design Portlets based on Business requirements, Wireframes, and Web Design and potentially code later. Ability to lead the portal design, working with CMG IT team and to ensure consistency with the direction. Ability to coordinate work of off-shore developers during coding. Expect this individual to provide estimates in preparation for Execute and Control Gate. BEA Aqualogic (ALIU ) Administration skills to help support Infrastructure a plus. .Net – strong.
