Portfolio Control Manager

Job Location US-CA-Los Angeles StatusFull Time Position description As a Portfolio Control Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Portfolio Control Associates and ensuring that all aspects of the role are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Responsibilities would include: Ensuring that trade orders are processed and that the workload is equally distributed within the team Coordination of work between the other offices in London and Singapore Reviewing work done by team members to ensure accuracy and quality Ensuring that procedures are understood and followed and providing training and guidance as appropriate Resolving problems related to team tasks, procedures and policies Interviewing and hiring of qualified candidates Setting expectations and managing performance of associates in the team Coaching and developing associates Building teamwork and fostering a positive and effective team environment Working together with supervisors in the other offices to ensure policies, procedures and quality of service is consistent in all locations Act as a liaison between Portfolio Control and the Investment Group including managing the relationship with Global Portfolio Managers and Analysts and leading ad-hoc projects/requests sponsored by members of the Investment GroupQualifications Degree with a major in Finance or other business-related disciplines, with a minimum 5 years of financial services experience. Experience supervising a team with responsibility for performance management, coaching, providing feedback and annual reviews. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with different levels within the company. Relevant experience in investment operations, investment support, or middle office functions at an investment management company will be a definite advantage. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of proficiency with spreadsheets. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team oriented and able to foster teamwork and collaboration.
