Practice Management Consultant

This generalist position is responsible for interacting with financial professionals who operate independent businesses—assisting them with a variety of issues related to identification and implementation of business strategy. The candidate should be versatile enough to address industry trends, growth strategies, efficiency, process improvement, marketing, and risk management issues. Competence in consulting and coaching is a key element of the position. The ideal candidate will also need the project management skills to take on different responsibilities, including introducing or upgrading department offerings. This function strategizes with clients and/or makes referrals to colleagues within the department or Commonwealth, where appropriate, and is actively involved in determining which practice management offerings contribute most to our advisors.



Requirements:Capability to credibly interact with sophisticated small business owners Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to apply best practices in written communication and dialogue with planners Demonstrated consulting and coaching experience as the primary function of prior role Proactively suggests ideas for value-added services to advisors Team player able to interact within departments and throughout Commonwealth Comfortable being held accountable for measurable results 3-5 years' experience, preferably in the financial industry MBA; and Series 7 desirable
