Principal Project Manager

As a member of the Product Development team, you will be responsible for further developing a Web-based B2B payment system using cutting edge technologies in a 3-tiered architecture. You will be managing the entire product development lifecycle in the delivery of innovative capabilities. This position gives an opportunity to work on a system that deals with billions of dollars of payments, across thousands of companies and tens of thousands of users.  As a Principal Project Manager, you will manage large-scale, highly visible projects under extremely challenging timelines.  You will work with senior business line management to formulate project scope for projects with a high degree of complexity and difficulty.  You will lead these projects through all phases of development, resulting in highly efficient and quality delivery of software solutions. You will participate in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned projects.  Assigned projects may be general or systems related in nature.  Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs.  Participates in training users and evaluating the project.  Manages performance of the project team and evaluates overall team performance. Your Career is Here.Basic Qualifications - BS in MIS or related discipline, or equivalent work experience - 10+ years of full time IT product/application development project management experience- Experience managing large scale development projects from inception to delivery using traditional waterfall model and RAD/Agile method - Knowledge in 3-tiered client server development and web-based development.- Knowledge in development tools/languages such as relational database management systems, object-oriented technologies, C++ or Java or C# or other object-oriented programming languages-Knowledge in software development methodologies such as structured analysis & design, object-oriented analysis & design, and component-based development-Experience leading development teams of 10 to 30 people in both on-shore and off-shore development models-Experience negotiating and managing 3rd party technology partners in an outsourcing model- Ability to micro manage resources on the critical path- Expert skills in MS Project- Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills-Self-starting team player with positive attitude Preferred Skills/Experience - Considerable knowledge of assigned business line or functional area - Demonstrated management and leadership skills - Strong organizational and analytical skills - Advanced knowledge of project management - Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data - Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Email this Job to a Friend View all opportunities Job TItle: Principal Project Manager Location: Minneapolis, MN 55402 Job Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
