Product Designer

will develop in-depth knowledge of Omgeo’s product set, both from a functional and high-level architectural perspective and will provide subject-matter-expertise to others in the organization. The Business Analyst must be able to lead/manage the business analysis/product design tasks for select product development projects. The Analysis & Design Team is a part of Omgeo Product Management. Responsibilities• Works with Product Managers on the analysis and documentation of client requirements • Translates client requirements into product solutions • Defines and documents Functional Specifications (use cases, workflow diagrams, field mappings, User Interface mockups, etc.) according to the prescribed methodology • Monitors project progress, coordinates and communicates regularly with cross-functional team members (including Clients, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Development, and Documentation) to ensure that Functional Specifications provide sufficient information to support their needs Qualifications• 3-5 years Business Analysis/Solution Design experience • Knowledge of Institutional trade processing (including Electronic Trade Confirmation, Matching, Straight Through Processing (STP), and current industry initiatives). • Experience in a software product development environment, specifically with Scope definition, Requirements gathering, Functional Design documentation. Understanding of the principles of the software development cycle. • Experience with financial securities markets (specific knowledge of the Italian, German, and Japanese markets a plus) • Experience with Sell Side (Broker) and Buy Side (IM) back office post trade processing, Fixed Income, Repurchase Agreements, Derivatives, FX processing, XML, SWIFT messages, FIX protocol, and/or data modeling a plus • Familiarity with project management principles To apply for this position please click on the link below.  Omgeo Careers Omgeo is a joint venture company owned equally by The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Thomson Financial.
