Product Manager, Consulting Services Group

Position Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for promoting fee-based programs by educating financial consultants on Consulting Services Group’s products and providing sales support. Serves as a technical expert in the products and programs offered by CSG. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support and daily administration and compliance issues for the Portfolio Advisor (Non-discretionary Advisory) and Private Account Management (Discretionary Rep. as Portfolio Manager)programs as well as leading initiatives regarding marketing, education, and training. Provides product management, development, and enhancement. Creates marketing materials. Develops ideas, goals, and strategic plans for growing fee-based programs in both assets and revenues. Provides risk management and surveillance support. Conducts review on contracts. Responds to a wide range of matters regarding fee-based investment products, programs, and regulations. Participates in the communication of compliance and operations’ initiatives. Manages TPS reports. Provides communication to Financial Consultants on all program related issues. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of marketing and product management. Advanced knowledge of accounting, economics and finance. Communication concepts, methods, and techniques. Customizing and coordinating the dissemination of communication programs. Telephone techniques and professionalism. Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills are essential. Organize, manage, prioritize, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Four (4) year degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or other business related field and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of research analysis or product management experience in the financial/securities services industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) Series 66 or, the ability to obtain in six (6) months.
