HighlightsAIG Job ID: RA 3085Position Type: Not IndicatedLocation: NY-New YorkRelocation: NoRequirementsEducation: BachelorsExperience: 3-5 yearsDescription: Oversee the production of the AIG Advisor Group's flagship magazine, Sourcebook, which includes proofreading and contributing articles. *In addition to the Royal Alliance issue of the Sourcebook, our editorial staff produces customized versions for AIGFA and FSC. This is a very specific, detailed job function, which involves an annual production cycle with four quarters of: planning of topics; article suggestions, assignments and submissions from Elite Partners and Home Office; contributing articles relevant to our business; writing letter from the editor; supervising graphic images; advertising development and placement; supervision of design firm; copyediting; printing; bindery and distribution of all three versions. *The Publication Manager is responsible for the publication of the Royal Times, our NEC (National Education Conference) daily. This involves both pre-conference planning: selecting topics, securing ads, placement, and -- most important -- interviewing speakers and writing articles.*The Publication Manager is assigned a media room at the NEC, where they cover the day's events and highlights, select and identify photos for the "chatter" pages and write articles and reviews for the next day's issue.*The Publication Manager is also responsible for the production of The New Advisor quarterly newsletter, Royal Alliance’s publication dedicated to fee-based planning.Qualifications:*Bachelor's degree in marketing or journalism. *Minimum 3 years experience.
