We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst who will report directly into the Information Technology – Quality Assurance team.
Description
The role of the QA Analyst focuses on recognizing risks and issues in our development process, practices, schedules and software. We are looking for a mature, professional, enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn new skills and a desire to take on additional responsibilities.
The QA Analyst’s responsibilities may include (but are not restricted to) the following:
· Back-End (MS SQL Server 2005) and Front-End (.NET based) software testing.
· Anticipating an end-user’s needs and making appropriate suggestions during development.
· Communicating risk areas in software development, including specifications, designs, and schedules.
· Writing and maintaining Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Schedules for business groups and internal software projects.
· Creating and supporting automated test scripts.
· Other responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidates will have a range of three to five years of relevant software testing experience as well as in depth experience with Microsoft SQL Server. A degree in Computer Science is also considered a plus. He/she must possess excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of topics such as:
· Various software development processes.
· Testing techniques for databases and applications.
· Operating systems (i.e. Windows XP, Vista).
· .NET technologies.
· Business Intelligence and Reporting
· Windows Server.
The successful candidate will also possess the following:
· Must have good logical and analytical skills.
· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize those tasks.
· Must have the ability to remain detail-oriented while working at a fast pace.
· Must be extremely organized.
· Must be able to work as a part of a team and individually.
· Must be able to help other members of the QA team.
· Must be willing to confidently speak up when processes/schedules are not being adhered to.
· This position will be based in Seattle.
