Receptionist
Southwest Securities is the principal broker/dealer subsidiary of SWS Group, Inc., and is a member of the New York Stock Exchange and other major exchanges. The firm offers a complete range of investment services through its Private Client Group offices and provides access to the capital markets through its investment banking, trading and market making activities. Southwest Securities is the largest full-service NYSE member firm based in Texas. Located in our corporate headquarters in downtown Dallas, the Receptionist acts as part of the Administration department and is responsible for greeting all incoming clients and answering incoming telephone calls for Southwest Securities and its subsidiaries. As a front line representative, the Receptionist will work with the Lead Receptionist Supervisor to create a professional and customer oriented impression of the company to all visitors and callers.
Responsibilities:

Answer incoming telephone calls on a 30-line Meridian telephone system, determine purpose of call, and forward the caller onto the appropriate personnel or department.
Take and deliver messages, transfer calls to voice mail.
Answer questions about the organization and provide callers with the address, directions, and other information as requested.
Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel or department. Receive, sort, and route daily mail and courier deliveries.
Assist other departments on various projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Team player with ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment handling a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
Should posses clear and professional verbal communication skills.
1-2 years front desk experience preferred.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Should also have good computer skills, with emphasis on MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work with all levels of management and personnel within the organization.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.
