Primary Function To manage regional credit risk in accordance with the organization’s goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities • Manages credit personnel within region, including writing and conducting performance and salary reviews • Recruits, hires and trains staff as needed • Analyzes branch and regional A/R portfolios and adjusts strategy as appropriate in order to reduce DSO and increase regional and branch profitability • Executes policies and processes and provides risk analysis to senior staff • Prepares various financial and analytical reports • Approves legal or third party action, accounts to be written off and reserves for bad debt • Manages legal files, including directing the efforts of attorneys and third party collectors • Communicates credit strategy both verbally and through formal presentations to Regional and Corporate Management personnel as well as to Senior Management • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting Professional Skills • Excellent communication, including public speaking and negotiating • Well developed leadership skills • Excellent at writing and conducting performance and salary reviews • Knowledge of employment law • Analytical and financial management ability, including statistical analysis • Skill in quickly assessing specific situations and individuals and determining appropriate course of action in order to achieve goals of improved profitability • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers • Excellent at prioritization and multi-tasking • Able to work with multiple deadlines • Extensive knowledge of credit and commercial laws, including lien and bond laws Experience • Previous background should include extensive business and credit management experience, as well as managing professional and management level employeesFor quick consideration apply here
