Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.This position will be located in: Overland Park, KS.The purpose of this department is to: provide Marketing support to Allstate Exclusive Agencies throughout a region comprising of nine states.  Some travel is required to provide on-site support as needed. The scope of this job is:  Ability to effectively assist in the development of marketing strategies and implementation of associated tactics.  These strategies center around generating quality leads for insurance Agencies and providing them opportunities to convert these leads into insurance policy sales.  Experience in managing projects within budget and on schedule.  Ability to analyze and measure results, improve processes, and make recommendations to management.  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing is essential. The position will be responsible for: Project Management - ability to manage many projects simultaneously.  Candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.  Position could include responsibility for Regional, State, and local marketing initiatives.  Should be familiar with Microsoft Project Management. Consultation - candidate will consult with Field Sales Leaders and Agency owners to understand their market opportunities and develop integrated marketing plans.  Should be able to provide recommendations regarding local tactics that will drive maximum sales. Education - Develop and execute education plan to increase awareness of marketing programs. Communication - must be able to effectively communicate marketing programs both verbally and in writing.  Verbal communication will include group presentations and one-on-one interactions.  Should be able to present information in an informative and interesting manner. Planning/Organizing - Able to effectively plan and organize events, activities, sponsorships, and local advertising campaigns involving local insurance Agencies.Required Skills - Skills individual must bring to the job and skill levels required: Beginner (has general knowledge and understanding) Intermediate (has good working knowledge/understanding) Advanced (is considered an expert)The skills required for this position are: Marketing knowledge and experience - Intermediate Knowledge of insurance industry or sales organizations is preferred - Intermediate Verbal and written communication skills - Advanced (Strong communications skills are necessary to effectively present detailed information to others in group or one-on-one settings.  Must be able to write effective communications on a variety of topics, ranging from short e-mails to detailed letters.) Organizational skills - Advanced (Ability to effectively handle a large number of tasks simultaneously.) Teamwork - Advanced (Ability to effectively work with team members, internal and external customers.)Experience Required:  One to three years marketing experience, preferably in insurance industry or sales related organization. Computer Proficiency:  Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
