SALES MANAGER - BROKERAGE CHANNEL

We are seeking an individual to lead and manage the Brokerage Sales team (Regional Consultants and Business Strategy Consultants) in setting and achieving growth objectives through the development of new and existing relationships.  This role requires a manager who has strong, current relationships with independent/regional firms (as this is our focus) rather than individuals that have relationships with wirehouses. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position will establish/build and maintain profitable and strategic relationships with prospective and existing brokerage clients aligned with the business plan.
• Serving as Senior Relationship Manager and Business Developer to targeted clients and prospects (regional/independent firms), this leader will work to increase revenues and assets and to promote product sales including advice, implementation and investments.
• Motivate, train, develop and coach Regional Consultants (RCs) and Business Strategy Consultants (BSC).
• Consistently seek and identify operational improvements and new product innovations, working closely with various departments within the organization.
• Assist Director of Sales in the implementation and development of policies and procedures
• Identification of new market opportunities as well as tracking of competitive landscape
• Develop and manage sales campaigns/initiatives.
• Provide input on marketing achievements, key market accounts, the competitive marketplace, and contribute to the overall business planning activities
• Conduct quarterly service calls with existing relationships and report feedback to the director of sales
• Excellent verbal communication, which includes perceptive listening skills and a quick learner
• Encourage and embody the highest ethical and operational standards for Brokerage Sales team.

Requirements:

• Successful track record in leading & managing regional or national sales teams in the financial industry (banks, mutual fund, insurance).
• Must have strong proven relationships with independent/regional firms.
• A results-oriented individual who thrives on achievement and performance, and is a team player.
• Ability to assume initiative, work independently and drive new business.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written & presentation skills) with all levels, including senior management.
• Demonstrated knowledge with consultative approach to selling.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
