SQL Developer II

B-Line, LLC, a financial services company in downtown Seattle, has an opening for a SQL Developer II.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable database applications

• Write and present technical design documents with database models to the project team

• Participate and adhere to quality processes such as design reviews, code reviews, version control and documentation

• Review and provide feedback on functional specifications to the team

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide sound solutions in a reasonable timeframe

• Work independently or as part of a team on larger projects

• Perform data imports, extracts, troubleshooting and data analysis in support of Accounting and Operations departments

• Recommend and implement best practices and coding techniques for database design and development

• Provide estimated time lines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years hands-on experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle 8+)

• 1+ years of experience with SSIS/DTS, 2005 SQL Reporting Services, OLAP

• Experience in resolution support for database issues including security, performance, implementation and connectivity

• Experience with C#, ASP.NET/Web Services preferred

• A background in Financial and/or Banking software is a plus

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills

• Must have strong attention to detail, self motivated and be able to work as a team player

 

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field
