SQL Server DBA

Top tier proprietary electronic trading firm is seeking an exceptional Database Administrator to focus on supporting various facets of the distributed MS SQL Server based database system.  Strong analytical and creative skills as well as experience in database maintenance are a must.  Prior experience with proprietary trading firms is desired but not necessary. Interviewing process will include a thorough technical interview. Very good opportunity to learn and grow. Key Responsibilities: As a member of DBA team, successful candidate will carry various responsibilities in the area of DB system administration and maintenance. Developing, documenting and implementing written database maintenance procedures; Developing documentation for an existing data processing applications and systems, i.e. process workflow; Database change process management, execution and documenting; T-SQL programming to support ongoing database development Maintaining proprietary T-SQL coding standards and documentation Job Requirements:  At least 1 year of operational experience in database administration and maintenance is a must; Hands–on experience in maintenance of large SQL Server systems; Hands-on experience managing and documenting database change process Basic T-SQL coding skills; Basic VB/.NET programming skills or in other Windows development environments Understanding of the client-server concepts and related challenges Heavy attention to detail; broad picture view as well Must be eligible to work in the United States. Additional Skills / Attributes: Analytical Able to manage numerous business priorities with ease; Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment; Must be available for occasional off-hours system support; Excellent communications skills MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
