Today, we provide valuable business intelligence to customers around the globe.Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects. Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans. Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business. Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes. Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers. Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Translate objectives into short or long-term assignments, processes and measures. Develop long-term department and individual associate goals and review progress. Function as a subject matter expert with the ability to incorporate, understand and blend the functions of other operational areas when making decisions and recommendations.Duties & Responsibilities 1. Process Management: Aligns processes with department goals and blends vendor services into department processes. Reviews analytical data that measures gaps in product/service level; determines corrective action and tactics for improvement and implements preventive measures. Benchmarks best processes. Manages the work of a department through other managers with the objective of assisting them in completing their daily work assignments. 2. Communication: Explains the interface between business objectives and departmental product and service goals. Develops process for the production of management reports, area statistics, performance measures, etc.; implements process and tracks results. Provides continual, constructive feedback on performance results against departmental goals. Creates enthusiasm within department, assignments, and projects as well as for the corporation goals. Incorporates corporate goals. 3. Planning: Clarifies business plan by formulating specific department goals. Ensures goals and priorities for departmental objectives are consistent with Company's goals. Ensures deliverables are on target with goals or adapts to changes based on organizational goals or direction; redefines unit goals due to change in scope and handles resource emergencies. Participates in developing or may develop longer-term goals with upper management. 4. Mentoring: Defines the specific achievement levels needed for department success; sets baseline expectations, monitors results and encourages group toward high level performance. Appraises associates performance against accountabilities and assesses development opportunities. Establishes an environment where staff learns to be self-sufficient, competent and challenged. Coaches and monitors staff in continuous performance, improvement and development. Approves salary recommendations. 5. Financial Expense: Plans annual budget and operates within the approved budget. Assesses resource needs (material, tools, etc,) and allocates in accordance with budget. Reviews expenses and approves department requests. Ensures projects are delivered within agreed upon costs, etc. 6. Customer Support: Acts as a resource to the customer, providing creative problem resolution and manages product/service delivery against negotiated goals. Analyzes feedback from customers regularly to identify their needs, clarify expectations and understand their definitions of quality. Through this process, may identify opportunities for product or service modification and enhancements, or new products. Establishes measurement to ensure that customer support is achieved and maintained. 7. Or equivalent work experience. Project Management certification is required. Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years in managing projects.Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.Senior level management with overall responsibility for the management of one highly complex or enterprise-wide program consisting of multiple projects. Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program.
