If our values speak to you, then speak to us. Standard & Poor’sIMAKE, a leading provider of advanced quantitative analytics and data to the global Structured Finance marketplace, is offering the following opportunity in its Bethesda, Maryland office. As Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the quality of the software that underpins IMAKE’s products and services portfolio as well as the firm’s operations infrastructure. Specific responsibilities will include: Manage an existing Bugzilla database for all defect tracking, ensuring that all software defects are tracked effectively through their entire lifecycle. Develop automated regression test harnesses using HP/Mercury Quick Test Pro or similar tools. Conduct performance testing of IMAKE’s www.absxchange.com and Analytics On Demand (AOD) platform using HP/Mercury LoadRunner or a similar tool. Assume responsibility for and improve IMAKE software and build and test processes. Develop rigorous test plans for testing IMAKE’s applications and software systems and ensure that adequate testing is factored into all development and release plans. Assist the software development team in performing required application engineering and testing on custom versions of its software developed for specific clients. The ideally qualified candidate will have  4-5 years of software development experience in the financial services industry. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline required Expert knowledge of HP/Mercury Quick Test Pro and LoadRunner or comparable commercial test tools. Expert knowledge of regression based testing of both desktop, web, and engine/API based software systems. Significant experience developing and maintaining a software defect tracking database using Bugzilla or a commercial equivalent such as HP/Mercury Test Director. Very strong CVS skills and expert knowledge of creating Ant-based build and test environments. Expert UNIX/LINUX skills as well as Microsoft Windows (XP and Server). Experience testing J2EE web based application. Strong C++ and/or Java programming skills to include object-oriented design and analysis required, as well as script-based programming experience using languages such as Perl.
