Location: SAINT PETERSBURG, FL Reference Code: 0800444 Job Summary: Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience, to oversee all functions of a designated wealth management area including offering a variety of investment management products and other financial services directly to the high net worth investing public. Leads major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. Influences strategic direction and develops tactical plans and completes diverse assignments with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions. Extensive contact with Senior Management is required to provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provides strategic direction to and general leadership across all functional areas of the division.· Designs and supports a delivery system to meet the demands of the high net worth market.· Coordinates efforts with information technology department to create or modify technology resources in a manner consistent with divisional needs and requirements.· Designs, implements and leads a sales and marketing strategy for assigned financial products and services within a territory.· Markets designated products and services to affiliated financial advisors.· Facilitates meetings with advisor and client to present overall wealth management products and services. · Builds and maintains relationships with financial advisors to assist with the generation of new assets.· Establishes operating policy for groups managed and prepares business plans and annual departmental budget. · Makes presentations on services and represents assigned functional area at trade shows and meetings, as required.· Performs human resource management activities, including coaching and mentoring staff; evaluating performance; identifying performance problems and approving recommendations for remedial action; and interviewing and selecting staff. · Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, evaluates and leads the work of assigned staff.· Interprets, applies and recommends changes to organizational policies and procedures. · Develops and implements programs, projects or processes for a major segment of a complex function or a small diverse business.· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:· Investment management products with an understanding of the high net worth market.· Advanced investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.· Advanced concepts, principles and practices of marketing and sales aspects.· Company’s working structure, policies, mission and strategies.· Broker/dealer operations. Skill in:· Designing a delivery system to meet the demands of the high net worth market.· Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.· Forward thinking with a demonstrated track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic plans calling for substantial asset growth.· Excellent leadership skills to provide a high level of organization development. · Cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. · Excellent sales and presentation skills and the ability to coach and mentor a high performing sales team.· Outstanding oral and written communication skills.· Demonstrate uncompromising adherence to ethical principles. · Interpreting and applying policies and procedures. · Establishing departmental objectives.· Detail orientation to ensure quality standards are met without impairing work flow.· Preparing management reports.· Identifying trends and implementing appropriate corrective action.· Follow-up to ensure resolution and completion of tasks.· Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets. Ability to:· Perform human resource management activities. · Plan, assign, monitor, review, evaluate and lead the work of others.· Coach and mentor others. · Identify training needs and develop subordinates. · Effectively market the company and show resilience through the prospecting process.· Implement changes to standard reporting procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.· Work independently, make non-routine decisions and resolve moderately complex accounting problems.· Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, including senior management. · Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions. · Balance conflicting resource and priority demands.· Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.· Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.· Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:· Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in business, finance or related field and a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the trust, brokerage and/or financial service industry.~or~· Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses/Certifications:· FINRA Series 7 License or the ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire; and the ability to obtain other FINRA Licenses if necessary.
