Security Manager, Education & Awareness
Responsibilities Associate awareness: Responsible for all general communication and associate awareness related to security topics, initiatives, processes and programs. Improves safety and security, prevents losses and encourages the use of preventative behaviors by associates, visitors, and clients. Researches, prepares, presents and implements ongoing Security Awareness programs. Publishes written and visual media articles, newsletters, alerts, brochures, fliers, and video production; and maintains and publishes the Security Web Site on JonesNet. To include but not limited to topics such as workplace violence, physical security, executive protection, travel Security, information security, privacy and life safety. Security team education and training: Collaborates with vendors/contractors to establish and administer new security officer orientation, ongoing minimum core training and field training requirements and ensure curriculums are fully aligned with department goals & objectives. Develops relationships with regional police academies and other training institutions. Researches training topics and prepares training plans. Schedules instructors and presents quality training and instruction. Ensures effective programs to train, cross-train, and develop team talent. Measures, documents and demonstrates training effectiveness over time. Ensures staff familiarity with all emergency responses. Effectively uses the Edward Jones training and development resources. Manages the content and quality of security information on Jones Net. Security reporting, trending and analysis: Prepares and submits monthly, quarterly and annual data to be incorporated into formal reports to the organization. Provides trending data to be utilized for staff deployment and efficient use of department resources and to ensure that crime prevention communications are consistent with risks.Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Criminal Justice, Communications, and Marketing or related field and (5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise in written and verbal communications is required. Knowledge of Security Management and the Security field is preferred but knowledge of training, marketing or communications fields is applicable. The applicant must have significant knowledge acquired through previous experience, certification or specialized training.
