Senior Accountant - Portfolio Investment Accounting & Reporting

We are recruiting for a strong and growing Investment Management company. This is a great position for an accountant that is very organized, detail oriented and has a solid GAAP accounting and financial reporting knowledge base.  This is an accounting role where you will be responsible for compliance, reporting, accounting and analysis of existing assets within the company's investment portfolio. 

A sampling of the responsibilities are as follows:

·Collect financial statements and other accounting information from companies within the investment portfolio.  Prepare financial reports and analysis to be used by Portfolio Managers for decision making purposes.

·Complete quarterly and other compliance reports and filings as required.

·Maintain complete and organized records and files supporting investments within the portfolio.

·Monitor and analyze various financial metrics for each investment and investigate unusual fluctuations or variances from expected ranges.

·Perform special accounting and financial analysis/modeling projects

REQUIREMENTS:

·Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

·3+ years of accounting experience; exposure to financial services/investment management co's/banks a plus, but not a must have 

·Detail oriented, very organized, enjoys getting into the details

·Solid knowledge of financial statement and GAAP accounting

·Strong excel skills; financial modeling experience a plus
