Senior Analyst, IT Projects

Job DescriptionThe IT Service Management Solutions Division has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a seasoned project/program manager to lead our Solutions Design and Delivery Team.  This team is responsible for managing all BMC Remedy projects which includes the roll-out of Remedy v7 applications.  This position requires the ability to oversee various projects in flight and new projects.  This position will also coordinate efforts between requesting partners and our Development and Reporting teams. The ideal candidate would have experience managing medium and large projects, have working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and experience using BMC Remedy (v6/v7) applications.This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone looking to be involved with the implementation of Remedy v7 and the overall IT Service Management (ITSM) program at Northern Trust. Knowledge/Skills1. Great problem resolution skills Major Duties1. Lead a team of project manager consultants responsible for implementing configuration, enhancement, and infrastructure projects 2. Ensure approved projects follow the SDLC lifecycle 3. Develop project status reports as required 4. Coordinate incoming requests 5. Ensure projects remain in scope and completed successfully 6. Facilitate and participate in Remedy v7 implementation meetings 7. Collaborate with team members 8. Review, update, and improve our project and release management processes as required 9. Develop PowerPoint presentations geared to different audiences as needed (high level and detailed) Experience1. 3-5 years experience managing IT projects 2. 2-3 years experience working on software development projects (SDLC) 3. 2 years experience using BMC Remedy (v6/v7) applications 4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Project Server, and SharePoint 5. Project Management Professional Certified (PMP) a plus 6.
