Please read more about the firm at: www.equitymethods.com Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities/Position Summary: Support and lead in valuation consulting engagements, which requires competencies in financial modeling (using SAS), critical data analysis, and quantitative finance. Specifically, this involves mastering the firm’s option-pricing techniques, and then leveraging this experience to lead client engagements aimed at recommending valuation methodologies for their employee stock options. Support and lead in advanced valuations of complex derivative securities. Consultants with exceptional econometric training lead in these engagements, which typically involve Monte Carlo programming and analysis. Support in custom financial reporting, which requires a close attention to detail, mastery of accounting theory and application, as well as a proficiency in working with data. Aptitude in grasping complex and abstract theoretical accounting problems is a critical success factor. Clients rely on Equity Methods’ mastery in not only developing these solutions, but also designing repeatable and controlled processes to minimize risks. Support in new service development. Equity Methods is constantly developing and prototyping innovative new offerings. Consultants are involved in the R&D and execution of new service offerings, which includes interfacing with some of the leading academics and practitioners in the country, thus allowing consultants to develop areas of particular depth within the practice. Acquire domain-specific subject-matter expertise. Consultants will acquire depth in various areas, ranging from finance or accounting research to process development. Consultants are expected to develop areas of especially strong competence, which stages them to lead in the development of new service offerings in their selected areas.Qualifications:Expertise and experience in quantitative finance subjects, such as derivatives valuation, and/or theoretical accounting work involving interpreting accounting standards and designing processes. Strong detail- and accuracy-orientation. Successful candidate must demonstrate attention-to-detail with regard to drafting processes, reviewing technical materials, and performing analyses.
