Click here to learn more about Scottrade.POSITION SUMMARY:Settle claims between Scottrade and other financial institutions resulting from Account Transfers.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Incoming Claims and Reclaims: Research and verify validity of claims. Determine fault and proper use of letter of indemnity. If necessary confer with compliance on paperwork, laws and policies. Accept or reject claims appropriately on a daily basis (20%). Outgoing Claims and Reclaims: Research and verify validity of claims. Determine fault and proper use of letter of indemnity. If necessary confer with compliance on paperwork, laws and policies. Initiate claim to contra firm appropriately depending on how assets are received. Follow Up on settlement (20%). Fail Reversals: Research to verify accuracy of fail reversal. Notify branch and accept or reject accordingly (20%). DTC Free Receives: Assist in the receipt of DTC delivery tickets from Stock Records DTC Printer during high volume. Make entries to receive assets into client accounts (10%). Unclaimed Property: April & October coordinate delivery of unclaimed property to the Department of Treasury according to state requirements (10%). Assist Outgoing Transfers with Charitable Gift donations at the end of the year (5%). Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of the Claims Team (5%). Special projects as assigned by manager (5%). Other duties/responsibilities as assigned (5%).Required Skills Quick and accurate data entry skills. Great Attention to Detail Excellent Communication Skills Good Organizational Skills Ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent research/problem-solving ability. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers or management. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts, graphs and spread sheets Intermediate level proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all Scottrade associates, and by having a positive attitude.Required Experience High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience required. Associates degree in finance or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience preferred 1-3 years experience required working in a finance or account transfer role. 3-5 years customer service experience required.
