The individual selected for this position will act as a lead and will have a minimum of 5 years Oracle and Sequel experience. Experience working in an Enterprise Mission Critical environment of 250+ servers is required.Job Summary: Provide Operational Support Provide Database Support Be responsible for the Enterprise Database Architecture Implement best practices and drive performance Under general direction, design, implement, install, and maintain databases. Maintain database dictionary. Responsible for system integration through database design. Provide complex technical guidance and support to internal or external customers on database design and troubleshooting. Analyze database requirements of the end-user and proposes specifications to meet requirements. Recommend and implement database structural changes, security policies, and backup/recovery specifications.Decision Making/Problem Solving: Apply existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department. Use sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems. Use some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.Resources Managed: Provide some supportive advice with limited impact on the use of resources. Impact on resources is limited to assigned department. Plan events that occur weekly. 5-10 years Oracle and Sequel experience 5+ years experience in an Enterprise Mission Critical environment Experience in a 250+ server environment Certifications - Oracle and/or Sequel Mentoring experience Ability to be on-call in a 24x7 environment Proven experience driving performance Proven experience implementing best practices Unix and/or Linux familiarity is preferred Scripting experience is a plus In-depth knowledge of several applications, SME, business acumen, organization, versatility, interpersonal, client focus. Work is somewhat complex and requires moderate analytical ability. Acts as in a senior or lead capacity by assigning and reviewing the work of others.
