You will be able to take ownership of the development and preparation of client proposals and offering memorandum. In doing so you will support some of the most knowledgeable brokers in the industry and help ensure their success – as you can tell, this is a high visibility role with an opportunity to interact with and learn from the best in the industry. It will provide you with an opportunity to grow and contribute to our world class performance. Second, but no less important, this is a leadership role. You will lead a team of associates that could include a junior analysis, a graphics designer, broker trainees and others. Bringing and instilling a strong sense of team work will be a major component of this position.The Day-To-DayLet’s drill down deeper. Clearly, being proactive in developing packages for brokers is key, but if you’ve been a success in your previous roles, you already know this. As part of this development process, you and your team will create financial analysis including detailed reviews of rent rolls, historical operating statements, budgets and CAM reconciliations leading to marketing proforma and Argus models. You will have access to market research and due diligence information provided by sellers as well as be able to augment the packages with self derived market data. You will have direct interaction with clients and develop detailed questions that you and/or the broker will review with them to ensure there are no surprises and maximum value is being created. This truly is a partnering roleBecause we believe in continual growth, you will be able to look at how things are done and decide how they can be done better. This will include implementing new methods of investment/valuation presentation and streamlining the overall processes. We’ll want you to stay current on new sales and marketing tools that the team can use. As part of this, you will be involved in brainstorming activities to develop new ideas and methodologies and show your creativity.Although, not all inclusive, we could sum up the primary responsibilities as follows: • Leading your team • Collaborating with brokers • Underwriting • Cash flow modeling • Market research and due diligence • Financial/statistical analysis • Document processing • Putting together investment packagesWhat do we see the top candidate needing to be successful in this role? • 2 – 5+ years experience in the real-estate industry, which may include acquisition, underwriting, appraisal or brokerage, in the commercial, retail, or industrial space • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Real Estate. Although a degree in engineering/physics with appropriate course work in accounting, finance and real estate could fit • An excellent understanding of financial statements and proforma modeling • An ability to articulate you written and verbal ideas well • Of course, be able to work with MS office and a thorough understanding of Argus is required • And a strong desire to be in a team of highly intelligent and motivated individualsWhat's In It For You?Beyond a dynamic company and culture, we offer a very competitive base salary and a bonus plan.
