Description:This position is responsible for creating the marketing collateral and tools for the Strategic Initiative Group’s campaigns and programs. Through collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams, the writer will take retirement oriented concepts and create turnkey marketing solutions and programs for the Advisory community. This position is expected to contribute ideas and concepts during the strategy/brainstorming sessions. This position requires proven writing/editing/proofreading abilities, strong initiative, great communication skills, extensive experience managing writing topics, and advanced knowledge of variable annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, other investment vehicles; and investment, financial, economic and industry topics.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA is a plus.• Minimum ten years of solid, professional writing in financial services. Experience in writing about Variable Annuities required. • Strong quantitative skills required.• Experience working Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.• Proven ability to write to a financially sophisticated audience on both qualitative and quantitative topics• Strong organizational skill and a detail-orientation is a must• Strong research, analytical and communication skills• Ability to provide input into the graphic design process regarding information design attributes; follow projects through completion with proofing and signoff of design/bluelines• Ability to write copy for the web• Self-starter that can work independently as well as with a team; that can serve as his or her own “project manager” once an assignment is made -- setting schedules, submitting materials for review through our Compliance Coordinator, communicating with internal customers• Writing samples requiredAbout AIG: American International Group, Inc.
