Senior Front-end Java Developer

Development of a web-based trading engine surveillance and configuration application. Program an object-oriented system in the context of creating dynamic, interactive management software. Interact with business sponsors and end users, identifying requirements and recommending design alternatives. Act as a senior developer able to work both independently and as a member of a team solving problems and implementing solutions. Teach, mentor, and be responsible for the code of junior team members. Interact with the QA team on functional design, test plans, defect and change control.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with technology experience or a degree in Computer Science. Proven ability to communicate effectively in both a technical and business context. Strong GUI and layout skills using HTML and dynamic Javascript (AJAX experience is a bonus). Solid understanding of both Core Java and J2EE fundamentals along with real-world web application server experience (Weblogic if possible). Attention to detail and desire to create a high-quality product. Constant desire to improve existing code quality and application performance. Financial industry experience a plus but not required.
