Senior Human Resources Consultant

Under the general guidance of the Human Resources Management, the Senior Human Resources Consultant serves as the single point of contact for business partners by providing consultative human resources services.  Consultation services include organizational design, workforce planning, management and employee coaching, training and development, and managing employee relations and employment separation activities.  Assists in developing policies and procedures. Expected to perform complex work independently and to possess advanced technical expertise.

 





Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or corresponding years of related work experience may be substituted for formal degree.  Must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.  HR Certification a plus but not required.  Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to deliver formal presentations, and the ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.  Must be able to remain calm in stressful or demanding situations, be detail oriented, analytical and well organized.  Must have excellent negotiation skills and the ability influence others constructively and positively.  An in-depth knowledge of employment law relative to human resources issues and the ability to maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions is required.  Must have excellent time management skills, interpersonal skills, including coaching employees at all levels of the organization and the ability to work in a team environment.  Training and development experience a plus.
