Senior Investment Analyst - Dubai

Our client is a well established fast-growing, high-performance, client-focused is a specialist Middle East real estate investment firm, is currently seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to be located in their Dubai, UAE, headquarters.  The ideal candidate will possess a proven background in commercial real estate financial analysis to go along with exceptionally strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Based in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, the firm was formed in 2003 to serve ultra high net worth individuals and institutions seeking to acquire and dispose of real estate assets in the UAE. The entity has also established a consultancy practice to service buy side and sell side real estate clients.  The organization is recognized as the leader in its industry space and is now expanding its activities to include syndication and asset management services. 

 

The firm has recently closed on a capital transaction that substantially enhances its ability to expand into other regional markets rapidly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Support Sr. Fund Manager, as required, with closing a portfolio of real estate oriented investments on behalf of the company’s funds.Assume lead role for validating and reviewing all necessary components related to real estate investments.Stay apprised of holdings, including developers’ project timeline and budget for completion of a development based investment.Provide weekly update on new and existing investments at portfolio team meetings.Complete site visits to assess status of existing investments and development projects, including identification of items that could impact value of assets.Spend time in the investment’s market to gain a sense of other similar assets, status of development completion and general perceptions of our investment within the market.Assist with development of appropriate processes and systems to improve the group’s functionality and efficiency in tracking deal compliance and performance.Gain understanding of investment opportunities chosen for review and consideration as potential additions to the fund(s).  Provide site visit observations and update due diligence as requested.

 

SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree from a quality school with a strong academic track record (Finance, Economics or Real Estate majors are preferred)MBA/MS in Finance or related field preferred.Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in asset management, financial management, real estate underwriting, or related field.Previous experience working cross-borders or internationally a plus.  Prior experience in the Middle East a major plus.Strong ability to work in asset management, negotiation, analysis and development if needed.Understanding of the fundamentals of cash flow analysis, property valuation, construction management, structured finance, securitization, and calculations.Excellent communication skills – written, oral, and interpersonalStrong personal initiative and desire to succeed in a fast paced, transaction oriented environment.Exceptionally strong analytical skills.Organized and able to work well with deadlines.Solid relationship building skills.Strong computer skills, including an advanced knowledge of Argus, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
