Senior Java/J2EE developer

The candidate will be working in the Front End Systems Technology group with a focus on developing highly multi-threaded, high-speed messaging and database applications written primarily in Java and running on the Linux platform. The candidate will need to work with other developers, the application lead, system architects and the project manager to develop the desired applications within the project timeline. In addition, the candidate will be expected to work with the Quality Assurance team to test the applications as well as to work with the Production Support Group and the Globex Control Center personnel to deploy applications and to troubleshoot applications after deployment.

Seeking Java developer (5+ years experience) with the following skills and experience: Writing/supporting distributed applications in JavaHands-on experience with J2EE technologiesWeblogic or other Java Application Server for executing applicationsTibco or other publish/subscribe messaging systemOracle or other RDBMS database knowledge.Familiarity with the Unix/Linux platformAble to use class, sequence and component diagrams to communicate designsStrong ability to learn existing applications quickly and to be able to make modifications to them.Ability to work independently.Bachelors in Computer Science, or relevant experienceExcellent teamwork skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsDemonstrated initiativeContinuous learnerFinancial industry experience, including familiarity with the FIX protocol, is desirable.
