POSITION: Sr. MS Windows Systems Administrator

LOCATION: Los Angeles (near Sepulveda and Santa Monica Blvd.)

DESCRIPTION: This is a senior SysAdmin position, part of a systems and networking team that manages the administration and operation of the online, high-availability, commercial systems platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Install, configure, and administer Windows server/desktop hardware, operating systems, applications and back-office technology.* Analyze, diagnose and resolve operational, bug, and functional problems.* Work with internal departments (Engineering, Client Services, Operations) and external vendors to resolve problems, enhance services, and implement new features and functions.* Assist staff in resolving connectivity and performance issues.* Configure and manage secure data transmission connections to suppliers and other data providers.* Configure site monitoring tools, and gather statistics on uptime and performance. * Assist with load and performance testing of applications.

REQUIREMENTS:* Minimum five years Windows server administration including extensive experience with Windows operating systems, IIS, and networking.* Advanced technical troubleshooting ability.* Experience developing written technical standards, procedures and system documentation* OS hardening expertise for Windows Servers. * Intimate knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques * Mid- to senior-level experience and skills in web application trouble-shooting.* Ability to diagnose and triage both operational and functional problems * Ability to apply advanced problem solving and creativity for troubleshooting and workarounds* Experience with a large, multi-site environment and experiencing managing >25 servers.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as exemplary organizational skills.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Ability to consistently and thoroughly follow established processes and procedures.* Ability to work in a team environment* Follow-through and total ownership of issues* Flexible, self-directed approach* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
