Senior Middleware Technologies Administrator

Job CategoryIT/Software Development Job Location US-TX-San Antonio StatusFull Time Position description This position may be located in San Antonio, TX or Irvine, CA.We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced senior-level middleware administrator to provide enterprise-level technical and operational support for middleware technologies. The responsibilities include product strategy, technical support and administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for Capital Groups key middleware technologies such as Tibco, Weblogic, SunOne, Apache, and Tomcat. This position also provides application support and communicates periodically with users on systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements and potential impacts. This individual will be responsible for leading technical teams on projects, mentoring, and training less experienced team members.QualificationsHiring Criteria 10+ years of IT experience 5+ years of experience with middleware technologies such as web and application servers 5+ years of experience providing technical support, product administration, and planning in an enterprise environment (1000+ total servers) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to create and maintain collaborative working relationships with different teams Demonstrated ability to provide positive customer service to clients and work effectively with vendors/partners to deliver sound technical solutions to meet business needs Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Demonstrated high level of initiative, ability to follow through, and ability to work independently under pressure against tight deadlines Thorough knowledge of, and the ability to provide operational support of, middleware technologies (e.g., J2EE application servers, message-oriented-middleware, web servers, etc.) Extensive knowledge of infrastructure platforms with solid UNIX skills Experienced in project planning and coordination Specific experience with Tibco EMS/BW and BEA Weblogic a plus Application development background a plus Extensive working knowledge of Compliance, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity processes Extensive working knowledge of Change, Configuration, and Incident Management processes Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture Working knowledge of service monitoring and capacity planningWe offer excellent salaries, a progressive environment and a premier benefits package that includes: Medical, dental and vision coverage effective day one Three weeks vacation in year one 15% of annual salary plus bonuses contributed by the company to your retirement plan, up to IRS limits Generous educational assistance Health club subsidy Paid, comprehensive training programs Team-oriented working environment Business casual dressWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
